Superior Fescue is composed of premium blends of turf-type tall fescues.
It exhibits an excellent dark green color and a dense, finer bladed top growth.
Adapting to a wide range
of soil conditions, Superior Fescue root in quickly and deeply.
It has superior drought tolerance, excellent disease resistance, low fertilizer requirements and stays
green year-round.
Because Superior Fescue is grown with strict quality standards, it is assured to be free of weeds,
insects and fungus. Superior Fescue is an excellent all-around sod for any residential
or commercial applications in Southern California.
Superior Bluegrass is an excellent turf
that maintains quality under lower maintenance regimes, with minimal water and
nitrogen inputs. Superior Bluegrass also shows very rapid germination and establishment,
a trait uncharacteristic of Kentucky Bluegrasses.
With a medium genetic color, Superior Bluegrass is similar to popular varieties Coventry,
Jefferson, Limousine and Baronie and slightly darker than Eagleton. Leaf texture is
somewhat broad, similar to Abbey, Moonlight, Blacksburg II and Raven.

Superior Bluegrass’s aggressive rhizome development makes it better equipped to withstand hot, dry conditions.

While other bluegrasses require a great deal of sunlight, Superior Bluegrass thrives with as little as three hours of sunlight a day.

Superior Bluegrass is adapted to regions where Kentucky Bluegrass and Tall Fescue are used. Use it as a mono-stand, in mixes with Kentucky bluegrass, and/or in mixes with perennial ryegrass, or at 10-20% by weight in mixes with turf type tall fescue. It's also ideal for reclamation and roadside seedings where a heat and drought tolerant cool season grass with rhizomatous qualities are desired. The spreading nature of Superior Bluegrass will allow turf stands to repair from drought and mechanical injury.
